The official departure of the 25th edition of the Tour Auto Optic 2000 car race will take place in Courances on Tuesday the 19th of April 2016.

This annual venue will gather at least 230 historical vintage cars, celebrating the oldest automobile race in the world still in activity.

At the crack of dawn, cars will zoom out of the Grand Palais in Paris and head for the Château of Courances from where the official departure of the 2016 edition will take place. The actual race departure will start from the domain’s gates of honor, facing the visitor car park. The public is invited to watch the race departure from the street.

The first car will pass through the departure arch at 7:30am. The other contenders will depart in staggered start formation until about 10:30am.
