A major cleaning programme for our pools began in 2018. While some pools– Les Nappes and Le Dôme for example - are drained annually, others have to wait several years for their beauty treatment.

This year, La Baigneuse, Le Fer à cheval and the moat around the chateau have all been spruced up. The task was a long and laborious one. Done with shovels, the gardeners were helped however by the different levels of the terrain: the silt from La Baigneuse was emptied into Le Fer à cheval, and then into the moat, before ending up in the Salle d’eau. Finally the sediment was lifted out, load by load, using a mechanical digger.

Today the pools are resplendent with their pure blue water.
